Introduction
Brief description :

Air surveillance system is a GPS Controlled based systems that employs a Wireless plane on which a wireless camera, Fixed Digital Camera and a GPS system are attached.

  • The GPS system is used to locate the plane at any given time transmitting back its location, velocity and height.
  • Using the GPS message the plane could be controlled and directed to any other location using a pre designed radar system, and an  interface card that would switch the plane control mode from the manual mode into the electronic one.
  • The wireless camera sends a live video image of the location being surveyed these images are computer processed to include the coordinates of the corresponding location.
  • The fixed camera are given instructions from the base station to shoot the desired locations , By the time the plane lands the photos stored on the fixed digital camera could be extracted and processed giving a high resolution images.

How The system Works :

  • The GPS system includes:

  1. a GPS receiver with serial port compatibility.

  2. a RF module Transmitter that will send the GPS message to the base station.

  • The base Station includes:

  1. a  RF receiver to  catch the GPS message and pass it to the base Computer Station.

  2. an interface card that switch the Airplane control into the electronic mode.

  3. A PC with the necessary software to perform and guide the whole operation.

  • The software includes :

  1. A method to control and guide the Airplane sending its instruction to the interface card .

  2. another method to receive the video image and process it to include the GPS coordinates of the specific location.

  3. a method to receive all the data from the Airplane RF module and process it.

  4. a mapping system that will facilitate the control of the plane .
